Who we are

1688 AI Importer is a Shopify application that helps merchants import and localize products sourced from 1688 and Taobao into their Shopify stores.

Information we collect

Shop domain and Shopify OAuth session data required to operate the App inside your Admin.

Product import data you submit (URLs, parsed product fields, images, and import job status).

Billing and subscription metadata processed through Shopify's app billing APIs.

AI credit balance and usage records associated with your shop workspace.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect your store customers' personal information through this App unless you explicitly submit it as part of a product import workflow.

We do not sell merchant data to third parties.

How we use data

To parse product links, run AI localization and image jobs, and publish products to your Shopify store at your direction.

To manage subscriptions, credit balances, and support requests.

To comply with Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks.

Third-party services

Shopify — authentication, Admin APIs, and billing.

Hiobuy API Gateway — product parsing, AI jobs, and credit accounting.

AI providers — image and text processing as configured for your import jobs.

Data retention and deletion

When you uninstall the App, OAuth sessions are removed promptly.

Shop data is deleted when Shopify sends a shop/redact compliance webhook (typically within 48 hours after uninstall), in line with Shopify's requirements.

You may request deletion by uninstalling the App and contacting support.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we process. Contact us using the email above.
